This is the instrumental version of the 1990 unique official demo of Chapel of Ghouls (France), which I found again in my archives this week ! Originally, we recorded the electric guitar, the bass guitar and the drums live during a rehearsal. The vocals were recorded later in a separate session. Because of the fact that we didn't have a multitrack recorder at that time, we basically played this first tape with the instrumental versions in a tape player; I sang on this background music, and the whole thing was recorded with 2 microphone using another tape player/recorder. This process caused a significant loss of sound of the original recording. Here, we can see that although the versions of the songs are the same, the instrumental version has a much better sound. I thought it would be interesting to release this version too because it allows to pick some details which were lost in the final version (in particular for the bass guitar parts, for which A. D. had done a good job!).
